I just got finished replacing the roll pin on my sons 149 that was below the lift cylinder inside the frame. We tried for over an hour to remove the broken pin,but had no movement. I used several size punches as well as an air chisel to hit on long punches etc,but it still was in the shaft.I soaked it with PB Blaster for a day or two or more too.. After looking at a 1450 frame we parted out,I seen the trouble immediately. When you look from under the machine there is a hole on each side of the frame for access to the roll pin. But, on the right side of the machine,the hole doesn't line up with the pin and you actually are trying to punch it sideways making it alot more difficult. On the other side,the pin lines up good and you have direct access to hit it..

To remedy this,all one needs to do is use a grinder,sawzall iet and notch the frame piece to look like the opposite side. I do not know why they did this but every wide frame I have looked at has the same situation. I sawzalled the piece off and hit the pin sqaurely and drove it out in 3 hits and less than 2 minutes.It appeared that before,I was actually hitting the pin sideways and not making any headway. Hope this helps some others too...
