blew the dust off one of my 1450s on Tuesday. It's been sitting for nearly a full year unused, as last summer I bought a big kubota L2250 tractor with a 6 foot mowing deck, 4x4 and a 3 cylinder diesel. A friend of the family passed away and I got the kubota for a price I could not pass on. It's a beast of a tractor.

I've got a neighbor who usually plows my driveway in the cold months with a pickup and plow but he informed me a while back he is selling the truck and isn't plowing this season. Time to get the 1450 out and fixed up for snow duty! I had used the 1450 with a plow blade and chains before with good results, but where I live the snow drifts really deep overnight so I wanted to upgrade to a thrower. So I found a QA42A thrower about 2 hours away and went and bought it. Guy I bought it from has a VERY nice 1450 he bought but didn't want the thrower as his driveway was tiny. 200 bucks and some friendly cub chat later I had it in the back of my truck.

so this is where I'm at with it now. I have some ag tires ordered for the front axle that should be here next week sometime. I'm also building a snow cab for it that is made from square steel tubing and sheet metal. Going tomorrow to pick up the rest of the steel and some more welding wire. I'm also on the look out for a small utility trailer so I can take it around town and do some friends driveways too. Its gonna be a fun winter!
