I bought the switch at a Cub cadet dealer using the part# from a Cub parts manual. It looked the same as the original switch I removed.I was an MTD switch if that makes any difference.

Give me the serial number for your machine and the part number for the switch that you bought and I'll double check it for you.
Edit: I looked up the 3184, they only used 1 switch the part number is 925-3163
