I'm glad I don't live in your neighborhood! Around here you can pick up a fairly nice one for about 1/2 that if you're patient.
I would go get that thing before someone else does. It doesn't actually look that bad. Those decals are junk a lot of the time anyway. Think about it with a new seat and no belt hanging from the hydraulic lever. It looks better already doesn't it?
