Next, how about some pics of this machine to help determine physical condition?
If all it needs is some paint, a touched up battery tray, and a grill (which they still sell for about $132 iirc), I'd say it all comes down to what you paid for it. if you can fix it up and sell it for say $700 or so, I'd do it just because I hate to see a good Cub parted out.
Otherwise you have to consider the time and effort it'd take to part it out. You won't get much for the trans since it used a hydro gear pump which is less desirable, the rusted body panels won't fetch much, an 1111 hour engine probably won't bring top dollar, so that basically leaves you with the engine, side panels/hood, maybe the trans, a couple misc parts, and maybe a deck to sell.
Just have to weigh your options and see what works out better for you in the end
