Acrylic-

8 parts paint
4 parts reducer
1 part hardner

Paint is $27 per quart, reducer is $8 per quart, hardner is $7. More than enough of one color per tractor. If your local auto body supply doesn't have the color codes they can certainly get them, ask.

3 hour handle time. 24 hour full cure time. Can be (should be) wet sanded and recoated anytime after the first 24 hours. Can also be oven baked, 220 degrees for 1 hour, this after the 24 hour cure time ( Do not oven bake before the cure time, solvents need to evaporate completely). WHY?????? Do this to wheels prior to tire installation, with care the finish will not be damaged during tire installation.

Now we paint our cars with acrylic and we leave them exposed to sun and elements for 10 years or better......now why not our tractors????

Intimidation I suppose.

Even with hardner I doubt you get a 3 hour handle time or a 24 hour cure time with an oil/alkyd paint....I'd give it atleast 36 hours.
