Honestly, I'd take a pair. Where I plow, I need more than just turf's or bar tires but 98% of the time, chains are a smudge too much, mostly for the ride quality or lack thereof. I think these would be great for a bit more traction without that backbreaking drink spilling cuss-word-inducing ride that chains provide.
