How do I increase forward speed on a GT 3100
I have a 2005 GT 3100 that does not go as fast as it should in forward.
With stock tires it is supposed to go 8 MPH forward and 4 MPH reverse.
I have checked/adjusted the engine speed and it runs at the specified 3600 RPM at full throttle.
According to my GPS it goes 5.3 MPH in forward and 4.5 MPH in reverse on a level paved road.
I have installed new plastic bushings on the frame where the linkage goes through and have the linkage on the reverse pedal adjusted to give maximum forward pedal travel.
I have installed larger(24 x 10.5 tires from a 3165) tires on the back which should have increased top speed(I did not check speed prior to the tire change)
What should I adjust to increase the forward speed?
Photos?
I would prefer to have close to the specified forward and reverse speeds, but I would be willing to give up some reverse speed if that will increase forward speed. If I can get 8 MPH forward and 2 MPH reverse, that would be OK.
