Default Greetings from KS

Hello yall:
I am new to the board here. I registered awhile back but I think this is my first post. Great site and I am looking forward to cruising around when time allows and getting more educated on just exactly what I have here. Which leads to me my first round of questions for you experts haha..................

How do I determine what I have exactly ? Are there numbers I can locate ? If so where ? What will they look like ? ANY help greatly appreciated.

Here's my story.............. My wife's father passed a couple years ago, rest in peace Frido. And during my last visit, I was given his Cadet that he loved dearly !!!!!!!! Kris (my wife) has a picture of herself on this little tractor when she was about 5 ish' and she is waiting on me to make it go again. Without revealing her age (I ain't that dumb haha) lets guess late 60's. I am thinking 67/8 myself, and the story I have got was it was close to new then. But no one remembers for sure. It is 100% as he had it, so I assume it is original. And I have had it running. Quite well I might add which surprised me honestly, but anyways. I want to say it has a 10 hp Kohler on it, is that right ? It's in my other shop now or I would run out and look. That's tractor number one.

Number 2 is one that was given to me because and I quote, " I see you got one of those yellow tractors Dave. If you would want another one, I would give it to you if you hauled it off". So I have this second one. Physically smaller in size to Opa's (that's grandpa in German lol) tractor. Same yellow and white. Smaller mower deck, smaller tires, and smaller wheels.

SO.............. how can I determine what I have ? Like I asked above, are there numbers I could toss at yall to help ? I don't have a camera myself but I could get some pix if that would help. I am actually excited to fix up Opa's tractor as the mother in law is coming to visit this fall and I would LOVE for her to see their tractor running driving and painted up shiny and new. I think it would make her feel happy that someone is going to love it like he did. And I wanna use this little horse. Cruising this site what little I have has me allllllll fired up about tillers, snowblowers, leaf trap things, trailers and what the hell ever else I can find to buy for it HAHAHHAAA.

Hope to here from someone/anyone soon. Gotta go look at some more pictures now, what else can I buy for this thing, and just how am I gonna convince the wife I "need" this stuff amidst all my drag car stuff ?????? HAHA

Thanks in advance...........
