Yes, you will need to disconnect the driveline and slide the engine forward to put that grass screen on. Now would also be a good time to inspect the coupler and driveshaft pin, as well. Congratulations on your 129! If it is going to be a snow machine, then you could hold off until next spring if you wanted.
You may want to inspect the flywheel fins, too. When I bought one of my 129's that was missing the grass screen, I found out the next day (it was a late night purchase) that the driveshaft disconnected on the PO and broke off a lot of the fins from the flywheel, hence that is why the grass screen was missing!
