Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm in Moyock, it's just south of Chesapeake VA. I have just under 2 acres of grass that gets cut every weekend, so this tractor is going to be worked. The belt on the 44" rotary mower deck broke today. I was going to replace both belts anyway. I wonder if the local cub cadet retailer will have the belts I need? I plan on calling them in the morning, otherwise can I order the belts from one of the vendors on this forum?
What's the cradle mod?
When I took the deck off, and removed the cover I noticed the front roller was made from wood. It this original equipment, a wood roller on the front of the deck?
The wood roller is worn more on one side than the other. The center blade seems to be cutting the grass shorter than each outboard blade. I could shim the outboard blades down with a flat washer, is this the best way to get the blades even?
