You can have wheel brakes and still have a cub cadet but you have to go to the SGT side. All three of our SGTs (2072, 2084 and 2086) have two brake pedals on the right side that do not affect forward speed but apply left or right rear brake just like the big farmalls. The pedal on the left side of thr tractor not only applies the brakes but also returns the speed lever to neutral. About the only time I have ever needed the right side brakes is when one wheel loses traction as when pushing snow or pulling something heavy. The two brake pedals on the right side can be locked together with a flip over lever identical to the big boys.
