Hey Dr,
I had the same problem. First make sure you have the belt tension tight. The adjustment is the nut in the front of the tractor near the bottom.
Then ensure the mower deck is level. Adjust that with the two eye bolts or (mower deck hangers) on the front of the deck.
Also make sure the belt is not twisted and the tapered side of the belt in going around all the pulleys.
Eyeball the belt and make sure it's not hitting anything..
That should do it..
