 MM OHMS setting, check to ensure that that the battery lug and the starter lug are open. Apply 12vdc to I post and ground the ground post. Should be closed. When doing this check you can hear the soleniod engaging and un-engaging. This check is straight out of my electrical systems book. This solenoid checks out OK>
