Thanks for responding. I did not feel much resistance but will go try it again and pay more attention.
This carb was pulled off of another tractor to try to get this running a year ago, and I havent done anything with it since then. So yea it could be running lean. I am sure not a expert on any of this stuff.
The engine wouldn't start, did not have spark at the plug. Changed plugs and wire and condensor, nothing. Reset the gap on the points, seemed a little wide, and she fired right up. I may pull the carb and give it a look too.
