You mean pressure plate? Or are you talking about the clutch disk? There is no "flex plate" in a clutch.
I have no idea what you are talking about, or where you got that price.....
You can buy a complete clutch assembly rebuilt from Mark Hellrung (Yosemitesam, or the yellow sponsor at the top of the page) for $175.
