What I see is a white wire that runs from the VR ground back to the battery. My VR has 3 tabs on one side Bat Gen F and one tab on the other side G. A resistance test between the G tab and the body of the VR reads 0 ohms.
And yes, I did have the headlight wire hooked to the G tab. I will clean up where it mounts with a wire bruch and see if I can get a decent ground without a wire.
