Oh and when I had to get the steering wheel off to stuff it into my Tahoe......
I hit the nut offside and the nut tilted and wiped out hal a dozen threads on the steering shaft.
So the nut would not go back on, not even dressing it up with a file and a new nut.

So did you know the steering shaft tube is just the right size inside to be tapped for 10mm?
Which allowed me to put some washers on the wheel around the shaft until I had more washers than shaft. Then a 10mm bolte into the shaft to secure the wheel.
