Default removing rock shaft from 149

Well, I wanted to remove the rock shaft from my parts 149 and put it on my running 149. How in the h...l do you get the roll pins out? I can't get a straight shot on them from the top. The bottom of the frame has some holes in it right at the pins but it is still not a straight shot. Anyone done this?

While I'm at it. I pulled the cover on my 149 to drain the fluid and to replace the cork gasket on the hydro pump. This is the first time I have changed the fluid on this one and when the cover came off I found that part of the rear housing was chipped out at one of the bolt holes (lower right bolt, you can see the sealant around the hole). The PO had filled it with silicone caulking. It never did leak as the very outside edge is still intact. I am putting a sleeve hitch on it from the parts tractor, now it looks like I will be putting the rearend from the parts tractor in also. I will be keeping the pump from the running one, it is very strong.
