You did real good getting this 800. Sounds like they are pretty special in any condition and you now have this one running and moving. Don't sweat the small stuff. If all these Cubs were real nice and we didn't use them, nothing would get done. If you want to find the parts and return it to original condition I am sure you will be able to do it. I though it was interesting about your engine build from the 86.
Speaking of a pile! You should look at the thread on the 147R that I did. That tractor should have never been restored, But it was, with lots of help from folks on here, and it is now too nice to get dirty. At least in my opinion. Its not high show quality just cleaned up good. We have had fun at some shows with it though, and met tons of nice folks interested in Cubs or tractors in general.
