You may have to ream ( open up ) the bronze bushing. The way they are made is to have a press fit so it can be sized correctly after installation.

Best way to fix the oil pan is either a heli coil or "thread sert"
If you try the JB weld, make sure you put oil on the bolt you use so it doesn't stick to the bolt itself.
