I think J-MECH is correct. The flywheels are slightly different but you should be able to change them out between the cub and john deere. Also if I remember correct you can make, buy, a bushing to put your pto on it if you have to. On the oil pan cub and jd both mount using rubber isolators... you might do a google search for specs, look on ebay at pictures of oil pans etc

A bushing won't work with the mechanical clutch. It would on an electric though. I forgot about the flywheels. But yeah that shouldn't be a big deal at all.
