If he knows what he's doing, $10 is more than fair! I know a guy (me) who tried to solder one a few years ago and it still had fumes in it. It blew!! Fortunately, I was standing off to the side when it went past at crotch height about 100 MPH. Ya, 10 bucks is cheap!!
