There were two different bores for the 7 hp engine the early one was 2.785" and the later one was 2.938". I believe that the 2.785" is no longer available. The 2.938". is available, it is also the same as the 8hp (K181) the 7 and 8 HP engines just use a different stroke.
Someone may need to correct me here but I'm pretty sure, a "factory" 7 HP on a 71 should NOT be the smaller bore.
