Well just a small update. Made a rear cover gasket and filled with hytran, and changed the filter which was the original yellow IH filter. It drives well but just takes off if you don't hold on the hydro lever. I'm assuming this is the infamous trunion repair that I've read a lot about here. Still smokes after I ran it quite a bit but smoking less and less so I'm optimistic, ran a lot of MMO through it. Has a governor issue with no throttle control above idle and it kinda runs away. Replaced and tightened a bunch of loose and missing bolts, also swapped the S/G from my in pieces 73 and it spins over a whole lot better but not charging still. Got a few more things to do to it and probably pull the motor soon because of the rear pulley that runs the hydraulic pump is a little loose and vibrates bad. I took a little break from all of the annoying little things that I "have" to do on it and found 12 volts to both headlamps but neither of them worked so a small trip to local parts store and grabbed some bulbs, PB blastered the wing nuts and thankfully the studs didn't break, new eyeballs installed, check!
