You don't say if you are mechanical. Have you ever had any motors apart?
Find someone who has you can have come and help you. If you have never been into a motor, there are a lot of things you can miss because of in-experience.
Get a book, like stated above.
Look up the parts FIRST. That way you know what your getting ready to spend and you don't end up with a motor in pieces that you can't afford to put back together. Also, take into consideration that money. If you have never done this before, are you willing to "bet" that money you will do it right?
Like dvogtvp said, done right it will last YEARS!
Find a machine shop that can bore the block (if necessary) and turn the crank (if necessary). Along with measure the parts, and give advice.
