Looks like your project is well underway. I was going to suggest that you make sure all of the mechanical work is done on the cub before you break it down for your restoration, but that is a moot point now. Can't wait to see your after pictures!!
BTW: That buckle adds new meaning to the term "buckle up"!! Looks great.
