Had to let everyone know that I got a new tractor today.
Started out the day moving a few rocks around with the 108 for a new fire pit. Had a great time doin it and still have a few more to get. Bout the time i was done with that, Dad was done with church. I have been on him for a while to bring his farmall a home for the summer, which was being stored at a friends house. So....we went over and got it after a while and I got to drive it home about 5 miles. It was great to get out on an old tractor waving to everyone and enjoying the sunshine.
Well, after being home for an hour or so, dad said the words every child dreads....Son we need to talk. Obviously I was reluctand and a little worried to be honest. He proceeded to tell me about a few things that were going on around the house and other random info. All of a sudden he told me that he wanted me to have his tractor! I couldnt believe it. He said it was because I would take better care of it, and also that he wanted to focus on his wood shop. --
After much debate (......not really lol
) and trying to get him to reconsider, I was the proud new owner of a 1946 Farmall A.
SCORE!!!
I am now a collector...lol.
