My one Original's steering wheel was installed by the Hulk. It was TIGHT!

i used a pulley puller with a good bit of pressure on the shaft. i tighten it just about to the point where it'll let go somewhere, then I smack the puller with a pretty good sized hammer. It may make some guys shiver on here, but I've smacked it pretty good to get 'em to move sometimes.

I've heard of guys just using their knees and tapping with a hammer. I'm envious.

Once you've got that puller tight (I mean TIGHT) and smack it with the hammer, it's amazing what moves! Just my experience. Your mileage may vary.
