First, Welcome to OCC. 
The 1420 originally had a Kohler MV16S-56509 engine in it.
The 1730 originally had a Koler MV18S-58520 engine in it.
You will have to do a little research to see if the "footprint" is the same. On the surface it maybe the same engine, except for "bore and/or stroke"
