It is for an 1861,


the more I think about it, I must have been using an ungrounded spot to check for continuity to the tractor side of the plug.

The engine is currently in a Ariens GT-18. it appears to be a drop in for the 1861.

The Ariens is of the vintage of powder coat paint. Ariens feared lack of ground so much, they brought EVERY ground requirement back to one point. Even the battery ground is on this bolt that connects every ground together.

I saw that ground connecting bolt after the post, and have not had a chance th recheck continuity.
