Didn't see anyone reply to your question. A couple things. yes, the pin wears, so you can replace that. The frame channel that the axle is in spreads apart, you can squeeze it back to make it tight (or use some shims). The steering gear box is a third place that develops play, adjust the cam follower stud to remove excess play. (you may want to remove it and regrind or replace it).
Wheel bearings and spindles/king pins are another source of steering slop, and those can be repaired, too.
