Sounds like saturation to me, the only way to prove this is to "weigh & compare " the float assembly with a new one then replace it. At the end of the season I don't use any fuel stabilizer I just start and run my gas equipment 2-3 times a month for 15 to 20 min. no problems ever, this also keeps oils & other fluids moving coating what might have dried / dripped off internals .
