Funny you mention Chicago. I thought all the IH Cub Cadets were built in Louisville, Kentucky? Mine has Chicago, Illionois on the rear seriel number tag.
Yes, I already bought 2.5 gallons of Hytran, $44,. rear gasket $8, and the cub filter was $18. Stuff sure is expensive, but I figure it's worth it. Ok to use carb or brake cleaner inside getting it all nice and clean?
Thanks again guys for all your help. Couldn't pass on this tractor. Really wanted a 169, but just can't find them around anymore it seems. And the price was so right with this 149. Someday I have every intention of doing a complete tear down/restore.
