It is a mechanical clock, electrically operated, so there is a bit of "run on" till the spring winds down, but not much maybe only 1/2 min or so on the hour meters, after the swtch is turned off.
The GM clocks in the 50's were simular operated.
An electro magnet would pull against a spring, when the mini breaker points closed, and you would hear a "click" as it rewound itself.
They ran for about 5 minutes, before rewinding.
In them days when you would "park" with yer lady, you could hear it,
if you were quiet, and paid attention.
But most of the time we had other things on our minds Ha,LOL!
