Creeper Disassembly
I thought I would disassemble the creeper that I recently purchased tonight, but have ran into an issue. The shaft/bearing cage assembly does not want to come out. I pulled the main snap ring and was able to drive it out enough that the OD of the bearing cage is almost flush with the housing but that as far as it will go. I have played with the splined coupling to try to ensure that the splines line up. It makes no difference whether the coupling is shifted in or out. When things stop moving I can still move and rotate things by hand, nothing seems biund up. I have used a small punch and hammer to try to drive the shaft out. Planetary gears are lined up and engaged with the ring gear. I hated to start beating any harder until I took a step back to make sure Im not missing something. And yes I have the service manual open on the bench lol.
