Default Is there any hope for a Walbro carburetor?

I bought a spare engine that came off a 149. It had not been run in a while. It Had a Walbro 60 carburetor.Of course it did not run right. It would only run with the choke nearly closed, like it was starving for fuel.I disassembled it and soaked it in carb cleaner, but it did not help. So,I gave up on the Walbro.I got a Carter Kohler #30 carb from Ray (Thanks,Ray) and the engine runs and starts great now. I was just thinking,if I could somehow get that Walro carb to work, then I would have a spare.Has anyone had any luck bringing a Walbro back to life? Or am I just dreaming?

Thanks.Tim
