That was the plan!
Well, Yesterday I tore into the deck and I think I am going to just scrap the deck shell and spindles. The spindles are bent and the keyways are worn out, the blocks on the bottom of the spindles wont come off and there is a rust hole through the middle of the deck as well as the guard on the side. Oh well... I am all for restoring them, but this deck is over my head.
