My 149 Score!
After working on my 108 and getting it all spruced up ("Progress on 108 Rehab" thread), I got inspired by all your support and by reading about your projects.
Brought this home today. It starts easily and runs strong, Snow blower works. 48" deck looks good and solid. This tractor was well taken care of. Was told the single owner bought it new and traded it a few months ago. I bought it from the tractor dealership. Paid $600 for the whole rig. Do you think I did OK? (in Virginia). Even has a hitch of some sort on the back. (sleeve hitch?)
I need to download the manual and figure out all the controls. It has a manual PTO clutch, and the forward/reverse hydraulics work fine. Not sure how the lift works, but I'll figure it out. Steering is pretty sloppy, but I know how to fix that. Needs chains and weights if it's going to blow snow. Here in the Richmond VA area, we don't get much snow, and I normally use the Ford 2000 with a 7 foot blade to clear the driveway and lane (about 1/2 mile total) to get out. But this blower will work well around the house and patio where the Ford is just too unwieldy or won't fit.
