The series I engine is a good engine if the oil is kept full and you stay away from mowing on slopes. That is the main thing that starves the rods causing block windows.
Allen, she sounds great in the vid and I don't see any smoke. She's a good motor so don't worry about it. Sounds like it may be a series II anyway.

Adam & Josh: It could be a Series 2. The oil fill and dipstick are the same as the Mag 18 in my 1872.
