Default Questionable PO mods

With all the talk of PO (previous owner) modifications, I thought it would be a great idea to start a fun post of all the questionable things that were done to your Cub Cadet when you purchased it. This could be anything that seems out of the ordinary to you or anyone else. This is also meant to be a picture heavy post, maybe we can make it a sticky??

I'll start with my 147 when I got it in April.

Steering wheel cap was missing. Replacement? Spray paint lid.

The PO had a split tire and instead of replacing it he taped it. He also taped over a spit mower deck guide wheel AND a hole near the guide bracket. (cuz he didn't want grass getting on him.)

Since the motor is out of a 149 (I suspect) the coil was mounted too high so the PO turned the fuel tank the wrong way and installed a longer fuel line. This caused a whole lot of headaches. Also in this picture; nuts welded on the hood in place of the rusted off hinge holes.

Not really a MOD per se, but check out the lazy wiring. I fixed this.

This picture shows three PO mods. The pin came out for the rod that connects to the PTO so a shower hook was installed. Also, a hole was drilled for a pin to set the mowing depth on the lift lever stop bracket, instead of tightening the nut down. Also, I don't know why the screen over the drive shaft has a cut out in it.

One last one- an unnecessary noisy idler pulley that I suspect did more damage to the belt than did good. Also in the pic, two guide wheels that were installed that seem to work alright, but aren't necessary if the runners were still attached.
