Default The 149 is my Favorite

Mr. Bob,

The 149 is my favorite Cub. Everyone has their model preference for various reasons - regardless, they are all tough little tractors. You can't go wrong for $100. Let me put it this way - if you dont want it, I'd buy it; site unseen.

I found a basket case 149 that sat for years - these things are never to far gone to fix and restore. I completly went through mine for about $2,500.

This video is a quick look at my 149 restoration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwBpD...=ULeDR844tcRLE

The 14hp Kohler is a tough engine - easy to work on. You'll find all the manuals right here on this site. Check out the sponsors for parts. Write me - I have plenty of sources. This video is my engine start after a $250 overhaul:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hiun0...hannel&list=UL

After restoration I put mine to work - and they do alot more than just mow!

You'll find we're all pretty proud of our cubs here on this site. Their awesome little machines. The only caution I would give someone new is this: Its hard to stop at just one! Welcome
