You are right about kinking the hyd hoses on the ram but if you loosen both the valve fitting and the ram 90 degree fitting without taking them off you can then rotate the front hose on the ram toward the front instead of to the rear like it is now on the tractor as you twist the ram inwards and it will not kink. The rear one is done the same way. With them loosened they are allowed to seek their own tension level and will not kink. I'll bet it is rotten to have to get on your back in the mess to work on your tractor. I hope all goes well with the clean up.
