Default I Poofed The Starter in My 1872!!

Well, the 1872 has never really started right for the last couple years.

I have posted about it before, and I was recommended to take the starter out and etc...............

Well I never wanted to get the starter out, I tried
bigger battery cables,
cleaning the grounds,
installing a 390 amp battery.

Everything helped a little, but, none were the "Big Fix"!!

It is springtime, I need the 1872 and didn't want to tear it apart.

I figure I would try one more band-aid!!

I took off the left engine cover and just "poofed" some of this on the exposed end of the starter.

I bought it at NAPA 20 years ago, don't know if it is still available.

Well, the results were more than shocking!!

The 1872 starts so fast now, I let go of the switch as soon as I hear the starter make a sound. The 1872 is running!! First time, every time!!

Amazing what a poof can do!!
