I feel I need to defend myself and my actions here. The Cub 169 was listed on Craigslist. I called the owner around noon on 4/20. The PO told me the Cub 169 was still for sale. He told me there was a dozen calls or so about it. He also made it clear to me it was a first come first served sale. When I arrived there, he told me there was serious interest from a guy near Gettysburg PA and another guy who made an offer but couldn't come see it till Sunday/Monday and about 6 more calls since I called him. I did not persuade the gentleman with a higher offer or anything like that. He was selling that tractor to the first one with cash.
And to be clear, I would never "steal" one from under anyone being a member of this forum or not. If the PO would have said he was holding it for someone I would have told him to please contact me if it didn't sell but this wasn't the case. I also won't know if a OCC member was trying to purchase it or not.

If it is any consolation, it is missing the muffler shield, hour meter and the next to impossible to find original muffler.

Also, when a Cub 169, 800, 982, 782D come up for sale, don't think the owner will hold them. They will get alot of calls and cash is king. I lost a Cub 800 a few months back after I drove 3 hours when the PO was "holding" it. I actually passed the guy who bought it on a road 5 miles from me getting there.
