I know the JDs in question have their "patented" "7 iron" deck, that is heavy gauge enough that it's capable of handling the 1 ton or so of weight of the SCUT or x700 series. And that's a pricey option. I personally have never saw a deck for a GT (outside of the JD x700 series) that advertises that it is capable of being able to drive over it into position. Not saying that they don't or you can't though.
