Well, this weekend turned out to be very productive. Started out Friday night with a new to me 147. Been parked since 1990. Supposedly needs an engine overhaul. Has LOTS of PO mods...and they arent that great. Its in decent shape for the use and abouse it got...supposedly a big family had it and 5 or 6 kids have drove it.
Saturday was a decent day, so I decided to get out the SIMS cab for the Original. It didnt go on too bad. I was wondering if anyone had a link to a possible manual on these, or anyone have any pictures of these that they can show me? Unsurprisingly, I dont believe I have all the pieces for this cab...and it seems a little shrunk from being so cold out and being in storage. The guy I got it from this fall said he purchased it from the Iowa DOT in Des Moines.
Also, on the cab, the zipper for the door is not in good shape. Can this be repaired? I bet it will cost $$$. Anyone with info or stories...let me hear them
