My 1450 exhibits the symptoms of slowing and speeding up without me moving the control. I briefly read the thread "Cadet 123 hydro speed control". My cam plate and the pin that rides in the slot are worn so I believe this is the problem. From what I have seen looking at various part sources it appears that new parts are available to remedy this problem. Should I be looking at replacing these parts or welding up the worn areas? Maybe I'm missing the context of the original thread.
