Most all of us can quickly trace down and understand a mechanical problem and feel confident taking a wrench and fixing the problem. For most of us an electrical problem can be a real nightmare. First we cannot see the electricity and the electrical circuitry for the most part is interdependent, meaning that if one part is not functioning to specs the whole system is down. It is kinda like that gol durn string of Christmas lights that when one goes out they all go out. I once had an automobile mechanic tell me that 3/4 of car problems are electrical and if he did not understand that complicated circuitry he may as well stay at home. Our tractors are not as complicated as as a car but are just as intimidating to those of us who don't grasp the electrical concept as well as the mechanical. I personally would vote to have as much electrical information available to me and in an understandable form. Of course if our grand phoo bah feels differently I would have to bow to his wishes and desires in what gets posted. Of course any electrical diagram with all those goofy hieroglific like symbols and no side bar description of those symbols is as intimidating as our original problem. I have ascribed to the Chinese proverb of "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him how to fish and he eats the rest of his life." That seems to fit what we are talking about here. If my current problem is addressed by someone telling me how to fix that problem I have eaten for a day but if knowledge can be gained of how that fix can fit into the overall scheme of the electrical operation then I just may be fed for life.
