The main issues with QL's are, worn out engine ISO mounts. Worn out drive shaft components. Worn hydro trunion. All of these issues are not really big issues to deal with mechanically, but it can add up $$$ quickly. But, once mechanically sound, it will outlast anything that is sold in box stores today, and probably give good service for the next 25-30 years with good preventative maintenance before needing major service again. Also it will still be cheaper in the long run to put the $$$ into it than to purchase a new $2k or $3K unit that will be worn out in 5 years or less.
